He would be available to all Khornate factions after completing a quest line that ends with Khorne entrusting his favorite pet to you because you have proven that you are the most worthy of serving him. To fit with the monstrous theme of this DLC, Karanak would make a perfect LH, in a similar vain to Goritch or Lord Kroak. It also compliments the other Khorne LLs, with one being a Monstrous lord (Skarbrand), one being a flyer (Valkia), one being a Cav (Arbaal), and 2 Infantry characters (Spoilers for FLC). He'd be focused on Cavalry and Monsters in campaign, to fit with his Flesh Hound riding. Not every dlc needs a big monster, but every dlc should at least have a unit that is unique and interesting.īeing unique amongst Khorne's champions for riding a Huge Flesh Hound, he would make for a very fun Mortal LL for Khorne. This could be Brass sisters instead, but I feel that they would be less interesting as a dlc seller. It would give Khorne some more flying power, and would look pretty cool alongside Valkia. They would be like mount less, winged, Hippogryph knights, being a highly elite, but highly mobile flying buzzsaw. This would be a unit of mini-valkias with the guardian ability, to act like a sort of Valkia bodyguard. They would be hyper offensive, with huge melee attack and weapon strength, but low armour and melee defence.īecause 2 of the units in this LP are a bit simple, this LP deserves an extra Khorne Unit, and it also needs a bit of a centerpiece or highlight unit. Mechanically they would be a side grade to Khorne Warriors, being a bit like Sisters of Slaughter. Of the End times Khorne Units, this is the one that I'd argue has the best argument for being added, given how awesome and unique it is. I think it is possible to have Brass Sisters as a RoR for this unit. Much like marauders, they are a very simple unit, not visually, but mechanically. They would have Great weapons and Dual Axes as options. A cross between the End Times/AoS Skullreapers and Warriors is a good way to picture it. The Chosen of Khorne should look sort of similar Warriors of Khorne, but a lot spikier and bigger. Unit 2: Chosen of Khorne (RoR Brass sisters?) Not a high budget unit, but it doesn't need to be. They would have Shielded, Dual Axes and Great weapon variants, to differentiate them from generic marauders. Mortal focused armies need mortal lords to lead them, so this guy is a must.Ī very simple unit, just picture Chaos marauders with red clothing, Khorne Symbols on their belts/shields/shoulders. He becomes even more important when you consider that this dlc would bring in more mortal units, balancing out the units with the daemons as well. This is because Mortals are the other important part of Khorne, and are currently outnumbered in the leader slots 1 to 3. No, not Daemon Princes, besides, that is something I will address later. IMO, the Chaos Lord of Khorne is the most important thing that is missing from the Khornate roster. I don't think she needs any further explanation, as I'm pretty sure everybody knows Khorne's favorite Valkyrie. In campaign, she'd focus around mortal units. Arguably the 2nd most iconic Khorne character behind Skarbrand. Valkia's dlc would focus on Mortal Warriors, whilst Arbaal's would focus on Beasts and Cavalry. I think the 2 dlc Legendary Lords Khorne will receive are Valkia the Bloody and Arbaal the Undefeated. I will be focusing solely on the Khornate parts, and completely ignoring matchups and pairings for the purpose of simplicity. I think Khorne will get 2 dlc in the lifespan of WH3, in addition to 1 or 2 flc. This is because having fewer flaws means that dlc can focus on adding, rather than fixing. Counterintuitively, that makes it a lot easier to make dlc. Khorne has the best (or second best, depends on the rest of Cathay) roster we have seen so far in my opinion. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.846 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
